Two's company

“Will you, err, be taking any mats with you?” my friend Mel asked as we discussed our forthcoming holiday in France. “Would you like me to?” I asked. “Ooh yes please!” she replied. And I couldn’t be happier that she did. Since I started teaching yoga, work has come in much faster than I had expected. This has been amazing, but my own practice has found itself on the back burner. I know a lot of teachers have experienced this but even so I was surprised. Practising alone felt just that. Lonely. So the opportunity to practise regularly with Mel in France was exactly what I needed. We hadn’t practised together since a yoga holiday in Sardinia but I know there won’t be such a long gap next time. I feel so much more in tune with my own practice and how important it is for my wellbeing. Oh and the idyllic setting obviously wasn’t bad either!
